Next Rust force wipe

Countdown in 9 days Thursday, 3 September 2026 · around 17:47 UTC Estimated from 4,493 force-wipe events — one month of records so far

How we work out the date

Facepunch ships the monthly Rust update on the first Thursday of the month, and every server is forced to reset when it lands. The date above follows that rule.

The time is where we are still building evidence. Our wipe records go back one month, so the time above is what we measured then rather than a settled average. We would rather tell you that than present a single observation as a proven pattern.

Either way the time is measured, never typed in. That matters because the UK changes clocks twice a year: a fixed UTC time written into a page would be an hour wrong for half of it.

Months with too few recorded events are left out: with a small sample the start time is noise.

What gets wiped

A force wipe resets the map on every server: your base, your loot, the terrain. Blueprints are a separate matter — some servers wipe them at the same time, others keep them. Check your server's page to see how it has behaved before.
